INTRODUCTION
The Suzuki Swift, a sporty subcompact car designed to appeal to Europeans, was unveiled at the 2004 Paris Motor Show. This model became an instant success and exceeded sales expectations worldwide. It was available in three engine sizes: 1.3-liter, 1.5-liter, and 1.6-liter options. It has since been renowned for its agility, fuel efficiency, and stylish design features. So much so that its sedan variant, the SWIFT DZIRE, is also highly sought after.
Everything from the exterior body to the interior trim has been made with comfort and convenience in mind; this vehicle is truly a marvel of engineering.
Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited introduced the Suzuki Swift in Pakistan in 2009. It was equipped with a 1.3L M13A petrol engine, giving it ample power and torque for comfortable city driving. The car offered customers the choice between a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, allowing drivers to select the transmission of their preference.
This popular model joined the long lineup of Suzuki vehicles available locally until its discontinuation in 2021 prior to the launch of the all-new 2022 model.
THIRD-GENERATION SUZUKI SWIFT
In 2017, Suzuki took the world by storm when it released its much-anticipated third-generation Swift hatchback. This sleek and stylish five-door vehicle boasted a robust lightweight frame that was 10% lighter than its predecessor. Its body was built with the revolutionary HEARTECT platform, which increased the underbody stiffness to deliver exceptional fundamental performance while ensuring maximum collision safety due to its efficient dispersal of energy.
The Swift quickly became popular among car enthusiasts thanks to its impressive petrol variants – the 1.0-liter and 1.2-liter models, as well as the 1.3 diesel option available in select countries.
Not only did this new model offer superior power and efficiency compared to earlier versions; but also, it boasted a sleek and eye-catching exterior design that made heads turn on every corner. In 2020, Suzuki’s car received a refreshed look, featuring a new radiator grille, a choice of stylish alloy wheels, and the option for dual-tone color schemes.
Additionally, it was fitted with the brand’s mild hybrid technologies such as an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), and High Beam Assist (HBA) – all of which enhance its driving performance and safety.
ON 24TH FEBRUARY 2022, PAK SUZUKI LAUNCHED THE LATEST MODEL OF THE SWIFT SERIES IN PAKISTAN – THE THIRD-GENERATION FACELIFT VARIANT – WITH 3 TRIMS: GL, GL (CVT), AND GLX (CVT), FEATURING A 1.2 LITER ENGINE.
